New Catalogue Time!!!

Well, it's been a bit exciting in the Stampin' Up! world this year!! We started the year with the huge clearnace racks and then the sale-a-bration promotion commenced January 22nd. Today the new seasonal catalogue is being released!! You can view it online now!!

There's so much great stuff in this new catalogue!! It's pretty hard to just choose one, but i'd say my favourite item so far is the Artisan Embellishment set!! It's such a great set if you are a scrapbooker - and matches the Artisan Patterned Papers so perfectly!!

I love it so much that this is what this month's 'Kit Scrap' classes are based on!! All of my Valentine's classes have elements of the Artisan range too :D

Keep an eye on my blog over the new few weeks for more sneaks of the new catalogue including samples that i've made!!

Remember that whenever you place an order with me right now you will get a free gift for every $100 you spend - you can choose from lots of different stamp sets, punches, patterned paper and even some of the regular range items!!

The Rainbow Twirl Dress

If you've been visiting my facebook page lately, you would have noticed my new favourite creation - the rainbow twirl dress!!

Isn't it amazing? Here's my (small!!) 18 month old trying it out:

I can assure you that she just LOVES it!!!

This dress is a Boo! Designs pattern which she has graciously allowed to be reproduced by small businesses :D

The torso section is elasticated (shirred, for anyone who wants to get technical!!!) and the straps are tie up straps, so it will grow with your child!!

The dress comes in 2 sizes - small (1-5) and large (4-8). It starts out ankle length and will end up knee length, for years of twirling fun!!!

Fabrics may vary from dress to dress, but it will always be a rainbow of colours. You may request it to have the red or blue end of the spectrum at the top. If you would prefer a monochromatic dress, e.g. Different shades/prints of purple this may also be requested in your order.

Small size is $45 and large is $55. Current lead time is 3 weeks and pickup is from Springfield or I can post anywhere in Australia for $7.85.

New Year, New Direction

Well, welcome to 2013!! I know i'm a couple of weeks late, but i've been trying to sort out what direction i want Olive Roses Creations to take this year!

I've decided that i will no longer be taking on any formal wear alterations as i'd like to concentrate on special orders, in particular children's clothing!! My children's clothing is now being sold at the popular facebook page "Joey's Corner", as well as the "Olive Roses Creations" facebook page :D I will still be doing basic alterations, like basic hems and zipper replacements.

As far as classes go, i'll be concentrating on 3 main classes each month, with extras popping up when special events (like Valentine's day) come along. These three classes are:

Kit Scrap - $25 per class including all products needed to create 2 12"x12" in class, with lots of extra's to take home! Products will be from coordinating ranges in the Stampin' Up! catalogues, in particular the 'Simply Scrapin' Kits' which you can find on pages 166-168 in the main catalogue.

Here is a sneak of the February Kit Scrap class - using some of the lovely new papers and embellishments that are being released in the new seasonal catalogue on Feb 1st!!

Stamp-a-stack - $15 per class (redeemable for product on the day) including everything you need to make approx. 10 cards. The idea is that you make several of the one design so you always have cards on hand!

Here's a look at the January stamp-a-stack class - which you still have a chance to join in on because it got postponed to Thursday 31st January :D

Sew like a pro - This is a new class starting in Feb! These classes will be fortnightly and starting right from the beginning with machine sewing!! I'm very excited about these classes, as it's really such a dying skill that can be so useful to you and your family. Imagine being able to take up and let down your kids pants and get an extra season out of clothing!!! Or make something special for a friend/family member for birthdays and Christmas!!

These classes will be following the skill level of the attendees. It will start teaching basics and then lead into more complicated skills through project based classes.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the 'timetable' tab, plus some new exciting tabs will be popping up in the near future!!
